Nikolay Kazanskiy graduated with honors from Kuibyshev Aviation Institute (now Samara State Aerospace University, SSAU) in 1981, majoring in Applied Mathematics. He received his Candidate in Physics & Maths (1988) and Doctor in Physics & Maths (1996) degrees from Samara State Aerospace University. In addition to being the director of IPSI RAS, he maintains a part-time position of professor at SSAU’s Technical Cybernetics sub-department. He is the manager of the Research & Education Center of Computer Optics established jointly by SSAU and IPSI RAS, holding the chair of SSAU’s base sub-department of High-Performance Computing at IPSI RAS. He is a OSA-, SPIE- and IAPR-member. He is co-author of 240 scientific papers, 7 monographs, and 35 inventions and patents. His current research interests include diffractive optics, mathematical modeling, image processing, and nanophotonics.
Dr. Eng., Professor, Head of Supercomputers and Computer Science department of Samara State Aerospace University. Research interests are development of the theory of estimation on small number of observations, image processing, pattern recognition, development of hight-performance parallel methods. He has more than 150 scientific publications.

Graduated from Samara State Medical University, finished Clinical Residency at Samara State Medical University at the Department of Ambulatory Surgery under the guidance of G.L.Ratner. Candidate of Medical Science, Doctor of Medicine (2003).
He headed the Council of Young Academics at Samara State Medical University where he was engaged in innovations and commercialization of research activities in the medical field.
